Additional Services

Administrative work in excess of 15 minutes including but not limited to phone calls, written reports, emails, & collateral contacts will be billed in 15 minute increments at the standard session rate ($150/hour)

All services related to legal proceedings will be assessed at $350 per hour (including but not limited to court testimony, depositions, legal conferences, preparation of reports/letters, travel/waiting time, and records/chart review).

Self Pay Model

Tides Therapy uses a self-pay model, meaning that I am not a participating provider with any insurance companies and that you pay for sessions directly at the start of session. The self-pay model allows for a smaller caseload and highly individualized attention to your care, instead of managing the multitude of administrative tasks that are required to be in-network with insurance. This results in higher quality care for you.

Payment

A credit card on file is required, and you will be responsible for paying the full fee at the time of service. Your payment will be collected through the HIPPA compliant patient platform, Simple Practice portal.

No Show Policy

A late cancellation refers to any appointment cancellation made within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time. You will be responsible for the full session fee for any session that is not cancelled within this 48 hour time frame.

Please note insurance providers do not pay for missed appointments.

Reimbursement

You may elect to see me as an out-of-network provider. At the end of each month, you will receive a statement that can be submitted to your insurance company to be reimbursed.

Not all insurance policies or plans provide out-of-network benefits, so if this option is something you’d like to use, please confirm benefits with your insurance in advance of our meeting.

Good Faith Agreement

Beginning January 1, 2022, federal laws regulating client care have been updated to include the “No Surprises” Act. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services called a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost.
