Therapeutic Style

In my therapeutic practice, I integrate various modalities, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and body-based therapies, with a particular focus on trauma healing.

My approach is enriched by insights from neurobiology and empirical insights into trauma's impact on the nervous system. I delve into what is often referred to as the "bottom-up" approach, targeting the primal part of the brain responsible for automatic reflexes and survival mechanisms, including the 'fight, flight, freeze, freeze, feed, and fawn' response. Sessions with me will include education on the nervous system, grounding techniques, and embodiment practices.

My therapeutic work is shaped by attachment theory and informed by holistic and anti-oppressive approaches. The aim is to cultivate a safe and nurturing environment, fostering increased emotional resilience and a more harmonious relationship between the body and mind.
